Service Description

***Group booking option, price is per person with a minimum of 2 people, for the individual option please select the Lvl 1 under lessons. *** Our Level 1 Experience Shooting course is designed to give people of all ages an entry point into the world of shooting. No firearms license required, this course will teach you safe and practical skills for operating a rifle. 1.5 hours of target shooting, during which our instructor will coach you on the proper use of bolt action and semi-automatic 22lr rifles. Based on our level 1 course, but compressed to suit a group of people. Instruction will be tailored to match your needs and skill level, covering: Range / Field Safety Control of the firearm Shooting positions Trigger control Sight picture Breathing technique Loading / Unloading (bolt action and semi-auto) Recoil management (learn good technique before moving to larger calibres) Basic maintenance Introduction to long-range shooting with 6 rounds through a .223 precision rifle Instruction technique is tailored to each shooter. Our goal is to give you a positive shooting experience that is fun and rewarding on its own, but also prepares you for longer-range shooting in higher calibres. The skills taught here are the fundamentals to get you shooting to 50-100m. Once comfortable you can advance to long range shooting in our Level 2 Course and beyond, or consider a PVR membership for unlimited range access. 100 rounds of 22lr ammunition are included in the course fee, with more available for purchase if desired (EFTPOS available). Several 22lr rifles are available to choose between, but you are welcome to bring your own if you already have a license. An RSO will remain on-site for as long as you wish to remain shooting, with additional ammo available to purchase via cash or eftpos. Complimentary tea and coffee available in the refreshment area. Non-participating group members are welcome to observe. If you’re a tourist passing through, a local looking to sit their firearms license, or you’ve just received your FAL and want to get some experience in a controlled environment, this is the course for you. Already comfortable operating a firearm? Cancellation Policy

Lessons: Cancellation with 48hours notice are okay, with less than 48hours notice a 50% refund is available on request unless rescheduling. Members: If you need to cancel your session, please message us via the chat or discord so we know you're not coming. Events: Usually 2 weeks, not transferable unless the transferee is next on the waitlist. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Targets reminder: Almost all 100m+ targets are rated for 30cal 3200fps MV (usually painted white), the multicoloured targets are for 22lr and subsonic centrefire (eg. 9mm and 300BO). High Impact Targets (338/50): on request only, these are hard on targets, donations are greatly appreciated.
